Pokemon Going in Port of Spain

Pokemon Go for IOS and Android is the new hotness. This free augmented reality mobile game uses every part of your phone (which is why the battery drains so quickly) to immerse you into a real world Pokemon adventure (oh how I miss Pokemon Gold). Though it isn't a perfect game their is still some fun to be had catching wild Pokemon throughout Trinidad and Tobago.

The best place to Pokemon Go around the east-west corridor is Port of Spain. This includes Woodbrook, Queens Park Savannah and St. James. The city has everything from gyms, stops
and different types of Pokemon. I live is close to Arima but when comparing the experience I had in town, going to Arima just isn't worth the $5 trip because the area is marked is a rural area in the game thus, the types of Pokemon that appear are mostly bugs, birds and RATS (disgusting).

Rural areas SUCK!

Below are a few screenshots of my late night master quest with my bros (remember don't Pokemon Go alone):

Water Front Hyatt Regency

This is a good place to start your master questing as you have to pass here to get to the next location. It's perfect for water type Pokemon because it is close to the sea, it has a gym (Go team mystic) and three stops in close proximity (how I envy the people working there). Did I mention it has a great view as well (Pokemon Go date any one?).

MovieTowne POS

This is Pokemon Go teenybopper central as its a cinema and there are three stops in close proximity and a gym nearby (see a thread?).

Siegert Square, Woodbrook

This is a magical place as there is always someone dropping lures (attracts Pokemon to the location). Hence, vehicles with people Pokemon Going would usually drive slowly near here or just park their vehicles to the side (its actually quite a funny sight).

The pictures are grainy but I just had to snap a pic because this was one of the rare occasions where the lights were on.

Downtown, POS

Before you leave Port of Spain you have to pass downtown. Around the promenade and Woodford Square are great land marks with stops to fill up on Pokeballs and other items before you leave.

I even caught two new Pokemon (I know I suck) when we were leaving town ^^ see clip above ☝️.

What do you trainers think, is Port of Spain the best place to Pokemon Go? Please leave a comment of all the best places to Poke while going spots in the section below.
